Sport for Life - Aboriginal Communities and QLPE are coming to Yellowknife!

We are excited to be offering Sport for Life Aboriginal Communities: Active for Life for the very first time in the Northwest Territories! This workshop will be held in partnership with SportNorth, the Mackenzie Recreation Association, Sport for Life, and the Aboriginal Sports Circle.

We encourage participation from ALL regions of the NWT and welcome interested individuals to register by November 15th so that we can help you apply to have all costs associated with the event covered.

Aboriginal Communities: Active for Life will take place on December 8th, and Quality Physical Literacy Experiences (QLPE) will be offered on December 9th. Please note that pre-requisites are required for QLPE and participants will have the chance to earn the Sport for Life Physical Literacy Instructor Certification following it's completion.

ABOUT THE ABORIGINAL SPORTS CIRCLE WORKING IN YOUR COMMUNITY

Established in 1999, ASCNWT was created through a national consensus-building process in response to the need for more accessible and equitable sport and recreation opportunities for Aboriginal peoples across the Northwest Territories.

We believe that all Aboriginal people in the NWT should have the opportunity to participate in sport and recreational activities at a level of involvement they find meaningful and valuable.
