The moose skin ball is made out of moose hide and sinew, sewn together in a ball shape. It is lightweight and can be used for Moose Skin Ball, Toss Ball, or Indian Baseball. It is either handcrafted by local NWT artist Melaw Nakeko or local Elder Celine Whane.
Please note: Depending on stock and hide availability, some may be made with commercial hide, rather than traditional moose hide. In that case, the price will drop to $55.

The Aboriginal Sports Circle NWT empowers and builds capacity within NWT communities, promotes and supports culturally relevant programming, and develops athletes and coaches in a level of involvement they find meaningful. We focus on developing programs based on community interests, strengths, and desires and strive to help communities build capacity in activities that they find beneficial.
To work with Aboriginal people and other sport and recreation organizations in the NWT to foster community involvement in sport and recreation, encourage and support participation in sport from initiation to high performance and to integrate Aboriginal culture and traditional values in sport and recreation activities.
