ASC is in Deline

Aboriginal Sports Circle is in Deline this week (October 18 - 21) running an Arctic Sports and Dene Games camp at Ehtseo Ayha School. Shawna McLeod, our Traditional Games Manager, is joined by two amazing instructors: Vanessa Anikina and Robyn McLeod to share their expertise with the youth of Deline. As NWT Youth Ambassadors, all three have travelled to many major national and international events, demonstrating their skills in Arctic Sports (Vanessa) and Dene Games (Shawna and Robyn) -- they even showcased their talent at the 2010 Olympics and Paralympics in Vancouver!

ABOUT THE ABORIGINAL SPORT CIRCLE WORKING IN YOUR COMMUNITY

Established in 1999, ASCNWT was created through a national consensus-building process in response to the need for more accessible and equitable sport and recreation opportunities for Aboriginal peoples across the Northwest Territories.

We believe that all Aboriginal people in the NWT should have the opportunity to participate in sport and recreational activities at a level of involvement they find meaningful and valuable.
